The Master's Path

The concepts behind the Master's Path are simple.

Every day in every way you are living Love. Always and in all ways, you are loved, loving and lovable. You are powerful, creative and wise. Nothing is beyond your grasp but those things that you have yet to reach for.

This is the place where you can stretch yourself to reach anything that you desire. Health, wealth, happiness can be yours if you walk the path of Mastery.

Walking the Master's Path is simple, but it isn't always easy. In the same way that you reprogram your computer for use with new software, you must reprogram your mind for use with the new attitudes of Mastery. Old programs pass away, not with time, but with intention, attention and affirmation. By visiting this changing page often you can find the focus needed to make the path easier and the journey more exciting.

This Month's Lesson:

" To this point you search and you ponder, but ever it is the same haystack in which you look for the proverbial needle. It is time now. Quit repeating your follow and know that the needle is not where you have looked. Look not there again.

When you think that you have looked everywhere, know that if you had you would have found what it is that you seek. You have not.

Now then it must be where you have not yet looked. Where, indeed, is that? Surely it is not in your world. There, of course, you have searched. Your books, your theories, theologies, these too you have found vacant. What stone have you left unturned?

It is YOU that you have not yet scrutinized."

His direction was to look within. Look first into a mirror and come to know and love the image that is the reflection of the body that limits you. It is important to love the human body that houses your soul, but it is not enough.

Like Alice, move within the glass and move behind the image and beyond the reflection into your soul, your evolution, and your wonderland. There you can come to experience being without limits. This is a change that may be discomforting or enlightening. Change is inevitable as we progress. It is necessary and constant. I warn you here - be prepared. Be prepared first for more change. It is inevitable and necessary.

Constantly what we thought we knew to be fact no longer remains truth. Change is the only constant other than God itself. The impossible becomes probable, the unexpected expected. Miracles can be everyday occurrences in the wonderland of soul progression.

At every turn we meet with the Mad Hatter and the Hare. In our old world, the world of limited dimension, they were illusions, imagination, even hallucinations. In this wonderland beyond all limits they are reality and earthly illusions of limitation no longer apply.

In the story the Hatter said, "Up can only be up if you are down. I am up. You are here so you are already up. You cannot move to where you already are." Alice argued that up was above down. "No" he said, "If you are up, the direction you move is higher - not upper." She laughed eventually and recognized the logic of what she thought only a minute before was nonsense. Here in this wonderland there is only positive direction. Without a negative for reference it is the only way that it could possible be.

As you travel further, longer, higher, you will come to know as Alice did, the value, importance and need for that positive attitude and direction. The results and rewards for its use are sometimes startling. Like the ever present, positive and knowing smile of the Cheshire Cat they appear everywhere, anywhere and with little warning. Clairvoyance, clairaudience, apparitions and tangibly felt vibrations come and go. They are by-products of progression and like the cat and his smile they haunt us until they are accepted and acknowledged.

Like Alice we begin the journey in anticipation and curiosity. For a time we react with surprise and shock, even discontentment and a bit, or more than a bit, of aggravation and fear. There is a separation that we create and feel that leaves us lonely. We consider a retreat outside of ourselves, but we know what is outside. There is no longer anything to excite us there and so we go on.

As the journey continues we become more accustomed to the magic of the trip and the place. Soon we accept this place as a new reality. We come to accept it without question. Like "up" it simply is and we are there. There is a new attitude: It is. So be it. Then the travel through life again becomes most pleasant. There is no destination. We travel where we are and we move - not to a place, but only in a direction. Where we are is up and what we experience brings us higher.

So we come from looking into ourselves to this place of possibilities. First we are curious and eager. We are then anxious, even frightened and may wish to go back. If we go on, and the mere fact that we have begun dictates that we must, we become comfortable again. People always become comfortable with habit and in this new world the habitual thing is change. The very thing that we begin by fearing and doubting, even denying, becomes a comfortable habit when accepted and allowed. Here I must counsel you as I was counseled:

"Do not attempt to lose yourself in spirituality in order to escape your human reality. This is of grave importance to progression."

This directive is a suggestion that we not abandon our life with all of its pains and pleasure. Human life is a gift of great value and has purpose in its design. Always live with and in a loving spirit and with gratitude for the beauty of this lifetime.

Many religions and other schools of philosophy attempt to keep people from searching within. They stress that the searching has been done by their hierarchy or by the God that they worship. Truth for them is unchanging. They are filled with the false theory that they must know. They have not come to face the reality that everyone must search.

Others do use inner searching but neglect the knowledge that comes from observing life. Some can find help in the ways of such a mystic. They find peace in their meditation and altered states. However, this way often means that another lifetime will have to be lived. When meditation is a way of life rather than a part of it, there is little experience. Experience is the teacher of wisdom. It is the only true manner of evolution.

The mysticism and magic of the occult and metaphysical worlds draw the attention of many. In its mystery they hope to find answers to the questions of eons. Instead, they find more questions, for it is not in method or magic that one finds peace. These things can fill ones life instead of fulfilling it. This lifetime is the only important one. If life is a play, it is but one act of the play and insignificant in that regard. Again, it must be completed and well played in order for the plot to unfold. Without it there could be no play and so for the moment it is the play.

You have been cautioned against losing yourself in your search. Now I offer you still another warning. Too often people, so involved in the task of acting out their dramas, fail to see the play and are unaware of the plot as it unfolds. Always we must remember to be aware of our fellow actors. We must be audience as well as part of the cast. Without this awareness we miss a cue. We fail to play our part to the fullest. We open ourselves to the error of reaction instead of action.

In a wonderland of surprises and changes there can be no room for mere reaction. When we react we lose sight of the journey. We wish to know the beginning and the end of the play but have left out plot. The story and its wonders are lost. So I caution you. Be a child of moderation always. Do not seek to lose yourself in spirituality or lose sight of spiritual progression by becoming self-centered. Do not miss the story of your evolution. Seek the balance. This is a cardinal rule. It is a law of progression. When in mastery you are ever in a state of control and balance. You know that to search is your destiny. You know that to stop searching is to lose your soul progression. You know that to react is to miss a chance for more wisdom. If you blink an eye in reaction, you have lost your sight for that moment. The master is never blind, not even for the blink of an eye. This is a mark of mastery.

If you are to learn the formula for progression to mastery, you must remember the things that have been stated so far. Most importantly, you must remember the law. Knowing to search is the law. This lifetime is ever the important one. It is your now. It is your act in the play that constitutes the plan.

You must ever remain a child of moderation. Only in this way can you hope to obtain the balance of mastery. Only in this way can you appreciate the play as well as fulfilling your part in it.

In all this you must ever be prepared and persevere. You shall prepare for change and persevere until it has become habit and fear no longer exists. You shall prepare for loneliness and realize that to be alone need not be lonely. In all this you shall continue your journey and find the wonder of life, for never are you blind to those things that you have, can and will experience beyond the image of yourself. You will take now the opportunity to begin once again your journey to the wonderland of yourself. This time knowing before you begin all these things that I have told you.

You must begin this journey knowing that you have no destination but to travel in a positive direction. You will begin at the beginning for until now you were not aware of where that beginning was. You were in the belief that the beginning existed. Now you know that it does not. What you enter beyond the mirror is infinity of knowledge. What you enter is your own evolutionary path. This time with your eyes unblinking in the way of mastery you will go within yourself. The only beginning is a symbolic one. You do not begin anew, but begin a new way. This is a sentence worth repeating.

You do not begin anew, but instead, begin a new way. Understand the difference. This is an experience in change. As a master you will accept it and be aware of its value and continue your searching having learned that you must.

This first exercise is the celebration of your passage into self-realization. Some people find it a difficult exercise in the beginning. The image they have of themselves has been distorted by opinions and judgments that are less than Divine. Once they have successfully completed this exercise, however, they will once again see the beauty that lives within them.

Meditation Before the Mirror

You are about to go into the wonderland of self-discovery and realization. Make your body comfortable and relaxed before you begin this exercise. Then hold a hand mirror before you so that you can view quite clearly the reflection of your face. Earlier, in the lesson, you were asked to look into the mirror and see the image of the body that houses you. Start there. Hold the mirror as comfortably as you can. Begin to see the reflection of yourself within as well as without. Attempt to keep your experiences within your mind in order that you can record these later.

Look into the glass and know that the countenance that you face is beautiful. Every line has been caused by your reaction to change - be it smile or frown.

Taking your time look beyond that countenance and move into the wonderland, the dimension of you that is far beyond this place and time. Allow the first reflection to melt and move further and higher until you transcend your body's limits and can see and know the wonder and the beauty of what is really you. Search, look, and seek for you are seeking now for the things that are beyond humanity.

Think of your life now and in the past. Know that those things that are or have been have added to your personality. Look deeper and higher and wider. Look now with the view of mastery. Know that you will find purpose to the events of your life. By these things you have learned. You will find that within you there is something greater than what you have seen before. Hold fast to the knowledge and memory of these things. Look at them deeply. Feel these things as a part of you. Commit them to your memory. What have you learned? Through what experiences?

You are in a land now of infinite possibility. You are within yourself. What you can and do experience here is the Divinity that is ever present and ever available to teach you about the wonders of your life and learning.

After about ten minutes begin to gradually come back to your normal state of awareness. You are going to take all of these experiences back to your room, your space and your time. Knowing that within you there is the beauty and the wisdom and the knowingness of mastery you move back outside of the eyes and face again the reflection of your face. You see again the beauty of the body that is a temple of God. When you are quite comfortable you are free to bring your attention back to this page and to make your notations Here[AJC1] .

Now that you have had an opportunity to initiate yourself into spiritual searching, I will begin to explain more fully the path of persistence and its rules of progression. Before this lifetime you were a living being. For many lifetimes you have lived. This place that you have come to think of as your world has been a school of learning, and the many lifetimes that you have known in this form, or in one like it, have been mere school terms.

To some of you, reincarnation is a new or foreign idea.  In fact, it is true.  Before humanity existed, you were.  So then, this is not an elementary school but instead an intermediate level of learning.  You have come far already in your progression or you would not be here in this place at this time.  Beyond this place and time you will go on, for there is more to learn.  Ever there is more to learn.

In this time, in this form, you must learn within the limits of your humanity.  This is not a bad campus, this planet on which you must now dwell.  Enjoy this place and your humanness. Once you were without such a progressed form and again you will come to find form useless.  You do not believe this.  You do not yet understand the total loss of the desires of the body.  I do not expect that you should.  Before I am finished you will know. You will believe and you will no longer have need of what you have needed.  Desire will have burned itself out.  Already you have outgrown the desires of the child.  Other things you have outgrown also in your planetary stage of evolution.

For instance, humanity has come to progress, in most cases, beyond the need to kill.  This was the way of the savage.  You, and the society in which you live, consider the killer a savage - it was not always so.  Once all people killed.  It was not until we had experienced evolution that we ceased to admire such acts and to depend on that violence for survival.  Still, there are some of these on the planet -theses savages.  It is a fact that some evolve more slowly than others. This is the way of progression. Some are at one place on the path. Others have a place of their own.

Many times people ask, "Where am I now?" The answer is "Here".  This is Where you are now - in this intermediate state of being.  Form, space and time limit you.  This is where you are now.  This is the place where most people are now.  If they were not in this place in evolution they would not indeed be people at all.  This place in which you are is the "up" of which I told you earlier.  It is your NOW. It is your ETERNITY.  You do not as yet have knowledge of any other place.  Even those who have come to know some nature of evolution - those you would call evolved - I would not call evolved.  They are here so they have not come to know the transcendence of the human form.  They are not yet masters.  The true master knows such transcendence.  The master has no limit in form, space or time.  Nor does he have the need to ask, "Where am I now?" the master knows that he is the master.

"Where you are now is HERE. What you are now is STUPID."

If the word offends you, good!  I urge you to prove me a liar.  I want to be a liar in this regard.  I want you to know that I am a liar in that statement.  Not simply to think I am a liar, but to believe it to be fact.  Tell yourself: "I am not stupid." Tell me: "I am NOT stupid." Tell everyone that you know: "I am NOT STUPID." Never again judge those about you to be stupid. They are saying with you "I am not stupid." This is your truth.  It is also theirs.  If you or they were stupid to the ways of progression, none of you would now be where you are.  Where you are is a good place to be.  It is your place and is progressed from the place before.

Now then, you know where and what you are.  Still you seek and still you question.  You ask, "Where am I going?" I have told you that you go nowhere.  You move in a direction and not to a place.  This is truth.  You move higher; but you are already at the place where you will always be. You are here where I am. You go where I go always - higher in consciousness.  You do not move out of life through evolution, but instead experience it all in its proper order and degrees.  This is everlasting and it answers your next question.

"WHY?" That is always the cry of humanity.  Cease to ask this question, for it has been answered.  Everlasting is "why".  It is.  It is what is.  There is nothing else.  Accept this and you accept the greatest change that will ever come to your life from this point.  If you can make "It is" your reason for every change then no change is hard.  No change commands fear or denial.  Never to again have human need to ask why is, in itself, a great transcendence.  The master knows that what is - is.  Be a master and claim mastery over this lifetime.  Know that what it is - is that it is, and so be it.

But you are human and in need of much reassurance. Other wise you would already understand that you are a master and would have transcended humanity and its limitations.

You may think that what I say is confusing and that I speak to you in rounds and circles.  You are right in both respects.  It is your mind that I wish to train and indeed the exercise you get here will wear you thin.  Perhaps even, your hair will fall out.  I am a master.  I say your hair will leave you.  Your hair WILL fall out.

Does this frighten you?  That your hair will fall out?  I tell you it will and I am here and you are where you are; and so I tell you it WILL FALL OUT.  Are you frightened of what a master says?  If so you are not yet a master.  A master would say that what is - is.  But what he does not will to be - will not be.  It is not the master's will that his hair fall out.  So that is what is - the "masters" hair will not fall out. YOUR hair will fall out.

If my circles make you angry or if you laugh, you are not yet a master.  The master does not react. If you are reacting to my words with anger or with fear or with suspicion, you are not yet a master.  The master knows personal truth.  He does not doubt or become suspicious.  The master knows what is.  What is, is personal truth.  The master does not become frightened of the truth of another.  Another's truth is reality only to that one.  It cannot hurt one for whom it is not truth.  The master does not become angry, for he knows that one cannot deny the truth of another.  It is not for the master to say.  The master holds only personal truth and thereby claims mastery.   The master allows each person personal truth and thereby affords each the right of divinity and mastery.

Now you have come to experience your teacher and the method of the learning. It is a method of perseverance.  Again you are becoming accustomed to change. More importantly for this moment is the fact that you have persevered.  Ponder on your perseverance - it is the first mark of the aspirant.

If you can persevere - you can aspire to mastery.  It is higher in this place of evolution and it is what you must eventually experience.  I beckon you here and will guide you as I can from this place that I share with you.

We will speak further of the plan and the path for you and for the whole after you have pondered this lesson and come to understand perseverance, change, and mastery.

As all of these words were channeled through to me, I recalled how often since I had come to know him I had questioned this teacher of mine. However, I felt deep within me that he was a master and, too, my friend. He always seemed to remember the ways of this world, in which I lived, worked and played.

He did not condone my fears but ever understood them. He was not impatient when I tired from lack of sleep but instead summoned me to my bed and offered me healing. Then he talked with me instead of at me and our relationship was that of lovers and friends. I know that his ability to totally understand me was and is the mark of mastery. The master is the one who has total understanding for I know that there is no end to knowledge. Always more can be obtained. Wisdom is not an accumulation of fact or memory. It is the virtue of understanding and is singular. He has that ability and to that we all aspire.

I find it a comfort to know that we have eternity in which to evolve, for so often I have slipped and remained too stupid to know that I am, as he put it, Where he is. Still I persevered, for it will surely take me all of the eternity I have been give. This he has taught me. So it is. In time I will be the master of my own path and evolve, perhaps, more efficiently.

This introduction covers so much that it may be difficult for the student to single out the basic lesson.

"Knowing to search" and Where- that is the information most positively given Here. Stan has stated for you that the search never ends. He has directed you to look within for the God that ever you have been searching for. He has asked you to investigate thoroughly the being that is you - all of you.

There is an appreciation expressed here for the humanness that is our present experience and an understanding of the programming and prejudice that we have been taught before.

To know that what the master is is what we already are, that is the direction that has been given Here. Understanding of our divine right to mastery makes us better able to cope with the changes what will come within our consciousness and within the consciousness of those around us.

The meditation exercise is geared to bring us to a further understanding of ourselves and to give us the first glimpse of the reality of self without the façade that we, in our fear of rejection, have created.

He has exposed us for the first time to the theory that we are the one who is to choose the truth that is our own. He has taken from himself all responsibility other than the sharing, for which he has come, and has put back upon us, the responsibility for the self.

Stan has expressed within these words the evenness, not only of humanity, but also of the entire universe. There is reference made to that evenness as he calls you stupid and then asks that you deny that statement. Establish for yourself the truth that is yours personally, and know it to be the truth. At the same time he instructs you to realize the oneness of the whole in that people have a truth that belongs to them. In your realization come to understand that validity is not for you to question. This is the divine right of all - not simply of us.

There is here also the lesson of perseverance. The teacher has made many lengthy statements that to some are of little consequence within their present consciousness. He has commended the student for the desire to learn through perseverance and has called to mind the fact that within the plan of the universe perseverance is innate. We have been here for many lifetimes and there are probably many more yet to come. He has made it clear that you can count on progression and on ultimate mastery.

In the way of perseverance and repetition, I might suggest that you read over this material many times. In the years that I have know this teacher, I have received new and better understanding each time that I have heard these same words.

Do also read Alice in Wonderland. The lesson is based on some of the material, but the book itself is channeled and filled with much information regarding the mysteries of the metaphysical. Within the preface of that book the author, Lewis Carroll, denies any writing of the material. He has not said that it was channeled, but has taken no credit for the words. It and the Bible are the only two books that Stan has ever suggested directly that I read and reread. Read other teachings also. It gets you thinking and continues your search.

Do the mirror exercise again and again. Write down your experiences. See what else you find within your. See what you begin to become aware of after this first time. I assure you it will change every time. Like everything else in you, it will change as you change. Ever it will be a positive thing. Subconscious emotional blocks are there to begin with and the purpose of the exercise and many to follow is to remove such blocks.

Stan does not mean to establish by this lesson that you should never laugh or cry. What he is saying is that you are to act - not react. You will learn to respond from a valid feeling and not from simple emotion. You will learn to act to make the situation whatever it is the best possible situation that it can be. If it is a joyful situation then you accept it as such and you act on that joy. You know the difference between what is and what is merely felt within the nature of emotional training.

I hope that these suggestions for repetition and focus will aid you in learning. He offers many methods and tools as the lesson progress. Allow yourself to utilize these things in every way possible.
